Should I Evacuate?
In 2011 Hurricane Irene prompted Nassau County to ORDER the evacuation of residents living in South Freeport and again in 2012 for Super Storm Sandy. Those who did not evacuate, as ordered, placed themselves, family and rescuers in grave danger.
Most people that didn’t evacuate for Sandy feared for their lives and will never disregard an Evacuation Order again.
